EXAM PATTERN:

Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 sections as follows:

NOTE. Candidates have to qualify in each test by securing passing marks to be decided by the Company. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Company (approximately 20 times the numbers of vacancies subject to availability) will be shortlisted for the Main Examination.

Mode Of Examination:   

The OICL prelims exam is objective type and conducted online.

Medium Of Examination:

The objective tests except test on English Language will be bilingual (in English and Hindi).

Marking Scheme:

There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests.

One mark will be awarded for each correct answer.

For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.

If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

Exam Important Facts:

Those candidates who use a scribe shall be eligible for compensatory time of 20 minutes or otherwise advised for every hour of the examination.

One fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned will be deducted as penalty for each wrong answer.

The number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each objective test is considered for arriving at the Corrected Score after applying penalty for wrong answers.

The candidates applying for Scribe must go through the Scribe guidelines carefully.

SALARY STRUCTURE:

Basic pay, and other admissible allowance as applicable. Other benefits such as Pension under New Pension system governed by PFRDA, Gratuity, LTS, Medical Benefits, Group Personal Accident Insurance etc. shall be as per rules. The Officers are also entitled for Company’s / leased accommodation as per norms.

House Rent Allowance (HRA)

On the basis of its place of posting, whether in metropolitan cities, major cities, or any other places, it relies on the posting of the Administrative Officer (AO).

Dearness Allowance (DA)

Based on the CPI, the DA is updated quarterly. Since DA depends on CPI, Inflation rates will increase or decrease based on it.

City Compensation Allowance (CCA)

Like the HRA, the CCA also depends on the location the AO is posted It can be 4 or less or even 0%based on the location of the job.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Nationality:

A candidate applying for recruitment in the Company must be either:

A citizen of India, or
A subject of Nepal, or
A subject of Bhutan, or
A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Step 6. Upload the scanned copy of the photograph and signature. Size of documents are mentioned below

Step 7. Now proceed for final payment. The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets. On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt will be generated. And click on the submit button.

JOB PROFILE:

The candidates will have to accept different job roles and responsibilities. In addition to their specific roles, they must also  accept any work assigned to them by their higher authority. Read below to know in detail about these responsibilities:

Taking care of the insurance claims.

Verifying risk management strategies and approving statements.

Returns and statements are filed with higher regional offices.

Putting the ideas into action and receiving official feedback for the firm.

Promotion of policies and acquiring clients.

Procurement of various businesses.

Taking care of the insurance policies’ issuing.

Meeting the prospective clients as a representative of OICL

CAREER PROSPECTS:

The Administrative officers will be promoted to different higher posts after completing the minimum years of experience in the same post.

Selected candidates on appointment may be posted or transferred to any place in India as may be decided by the Company. Please note that most of the aforesaid vacancies are in Hubli region of Karnataka, the state of Gujarat, Tamilnadu, Kerala, Mumbai and its suburbs.

The minimum stay at the initial place of posting will be 5 years.

The Administrative officers have a chance of getting promoted to Deputy Manager and Zonal Manager positions.

GUARANTEE BOND:

After selection, candidates have to go through a probation of one year which can be extended.  Administrative Officers are made to sign a bond to serve the company for minimum of 4 years. In the event of their resigning from the Company before the expiry of the bond period, they will be liable to pay liquidated damages equivalent to one year’s gross salary paid to them during the year of probation.

Candidates resigning from the Company during the probation period and candidates whose services are terminated by the Company during the probation period shall be liable to pay the salary received by them during their entire service in the Company in addition to an amount of Rs.40,000/-towards partial cost of training. No lien/bond executed to retain a substantive post with present employer will be binding upon the Company and no Leave Salary or Pension Contribution will be made.

EXAM PATTERN

Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 sections as follows:

Mode Of Examination:   

The OICL prelims exam is objective type and conducted online.

Medium Of Examination:

The objective tests except test on English Language will be bilingual (in English and Hindi).

Marking Scheme:

There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests.

One mark will be awarded for each correct answer.

For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.

If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

Exam Important Facts:

Those candidates who use a scribe shall be eligible for compensatory time of 20 minutes or otherwise advised for every hour of the examination.

One fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned will be deducted as penalty for each wrong answer.

The number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each objective test is considered for arriving at the Corrected Score after applying penalty for wrong answers.

The candidates applying for Scribe must go through the Scribe guidelines carefully.
