EXAM PATTERN:
Mains Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 30 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be Online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer. Immediately after completion of Objective Test, a Descriptive Test will be administered.
Objective Type Test:
The Objective Test of 2 hours duration consists of 4 sections (Generalists) and 5 sections (Specialists) for total 200 marks.

A candidate shall be required to qualify in the descriptive test, but the marks in the descriptive test will not be counted towards shortlisting for interviews or final selection:

Note :- Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum total score (to be decided by the Company according to number of vacancies) in the objective test (main examination) and qualify in the descriptive test for shortlisting for the Interview.
Mode Of Examination:
The Test for Generalist & Specialist shall be conducted as on Online computer Based Test. The test will contain Objective type questions. The Descriptive type Test shall also be conducted Online. Questions will be displayed on the screen of the computer. Answers are to be typed using the keyboard.
Medium Of Examination:
- The objective tests except test on “English Language” will be bilingual (in English and Hindi).
- The Descriptive Test shall be held in English Only.
Marking Scheme:

Questions from above-mentioned sections are asked in OICL AO Examination, where each question comprises 1 mark, thus summing up to 200 marks.
Marking Scheme Highlights:
There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked by the candidates
One mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
For each wrong answer marked, one fourth of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted from those obtained.
No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.
There will be no negative marking in Descriptive Type Test.
INTERVIEW:
Candidates who have been shortlisted at the end of Phase-II will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Company, up to three times the number of vacancies of respective stream/category. Interview will be conducted at select centres.`
The weightage (ratio) of online Examination and Interview will be 80:20 respectively.
The centre, address of the venue, time & date of Interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the call letter.
IMPORTANT FACTS:
- Those candidates who use a scribe shall be eligible for compensatory time of 20 minutes or otherwise advised for every hour of the examination.
- The scribe may be from any academic stream. However, for Specialist Officers’ posts the scribe should be from an academic stream different from that prescribed for the post.
- One fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned will be deducted as penalty for each wrong answer.
- The Descriptive Test marks shall not be taken into account for calculation of merit and shortlisting.
- The number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each objective test is considered for arriving at the Corrected Score after applying penalty for wronganswers.

SALARY STRUCTURE:
Basic pay, and other admissible allowance as applicable. Other benefits such as Pension under New Pension system governed by PFRDA, Gratuity, LTS, Medical Benefits, Group Personal Accident Insurance etc. shall be as per rules. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Nationality:
A candidate applying for recruitment in the Company must be either:
A citizen of India, or
A subject of Nepal, or
A subject of Bhutan, or
A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

JOB PROFILE:
The candidates will have to accept different job roles and responsibilities. In addition to their specific roles, they must also accept any work assigned to them by their higher authority. Read below to know in detail about these responsibilities:

Verifying risk management strategies and approving statements.
Returns and statements are filed with higher regional offices.
Putting the ideas into action and receiving official feedback for the firm.
Promotion of policies and acquiring clients.
Procurement of various businesses.
Taking care of the insurance policies’ issuing.
Meeting the prospective clients as a representative of OICL
CAREER PROSPECTS:
The Administrative officers will be promoted to different higher posts after completing the minimum years of experience in the same post.
Selected candidates on appointment may be posted or transferred to any place in India as may be decided by the Company. Please note that most of the aforesaid vacancies are in Hubli region of Karnataka, the state of Gujarat, Tamilnadu, Kerala, Mumbai and its suburbs.
The minimum stay at the initial place of posting will be 5 years.
The Administrative officers have a chance of getting promoted to Deputy Manager and Zonal Manager positions.
GUARANTEE BOND:
After selection, candidates have to go through a probation of one year which can be extended. Administrative Officers are made to sign a bond to serve the company for minimum of 4 years. In the event of their resigning from the Company before the expiry of the bond period, they will be liable to pay liquidated damages equivalent to one year’s gross salary paid to them during the year of probation.
Candidates resigning from the Company during the probation period and candidates whose services are terminated by the Company during the probation period shall be liable to pay the salary received by them during their entire service in the Company in addition to an amount of Rs.40,000/-towards partial cost of training. No lien/bond executed to retain a substantive post with present employer will be binding upon the Company and no Leave Salary or Pension Contribution will be made.

HOW CAN APPLY:
The application process is Online. Applicants who meet the Eligibility Criteria can only fill out the application form. The application process involves several steps, such as Registration, Completing the Application Form, Uploading the Rrequired Documents, and Paying Fee.

Online Appliction Form:
Step 1. Go to the official website of OICL.
Step 2. Click on the career option and then click on Apply Online.
Step 3. Choose the option stating “Click here for New Registration” and fill in your name and contact details.
Step 4. A registration ID and password will be created and displayed on the screen. An email and SMS will be sent to their registered email address
and their mobile number.
Step 5. Check the information if it is filled correctly or not and then click on the “Submit Button”
Step 6. Upload the scanned copy of the photograph and signature. Size of documents are mentioned below
Step 7. Now proceed for final payment. The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, I
nternet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets. On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt will be generated. And click on the
submit button.

EXAM PATTERN
Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 30 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be Online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer. Immediately after completion of Objective Test, a Descriptive Test will be administered.
Objective Type Test:
The Objective Test of 2 hours duration consists of 4 sections (Generalists) and 5 sections (Specialists) for total 200 marks.

Note :- Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum total score (to be decided by the Company according to number of vacancies) in the objective test (main examination) and qualify in the descriptive test for shortlisting for the Interview.
Mode Of Examination:
The Test for Generalist & Specialist shall be conducted as on Online computer Based Test. The test will contain Objective type questions. The Descriptive type Test shall also be conducted Online. Questions will be displayed on the screen of the computer. Answers are to be typed using the keyboard.
Medium Of Examination:
1. The objective tests except test on “English Language” will be bilingual (in English and Hindi).
2. The Descriptive Test shall be held in English Only.
Marking Scheme:
Sections of the test:
Test of Reasoning Ability.

Questions from above-mentioned sections are asked in OICL AO Examination, where each question comprises 1 mark, thus summing up to 200 marks.
Marking Scheme Highlights:
There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked by the candidates
One mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
For each wrong answer marked, one fourth of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted from those obtained.
No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.
There will be no negative marking in Descriptive Type Test.
INTERVIEW:
Candidates who have been shortlisted at the end of Phase-II will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Company, up to three times the number of vacancies of respective stream/category. Interview will be conducted at select centres.`
The weightage (ratio) of online Examination and Interview will be 80:20 respectively.
The centre, address of the venue, time & date of Interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the call letter.
IMPORTANT FACTS:
1. Those candidates who use a scribe shall be eligible for compensatory time of 20 minutes or otherwise advised for every hour of the examination.
2. The scribe may be from any academic stream. However, for Specialist Officers’ posts the scribe should be from an academic stream different from that prescribed for the post.
3. One fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned will be deducted as penalty for each wrong answer.
4. The Descriptive Test marks shall not be taken into account for calculation of merit and shortlisting.
5. The number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each objective test is considered for arriving at the Corrected Score after applying penalty for wrong answers.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Nationality:
A candidate applying for recruitment in the Company must be either:
A citizen of India, or
A subject of Nepal, or
A subject of Bhutan, or
A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
