NIACL has Released Notification For Administrative Officer ( Scale- I ) with the Aim of Filling 170 Vacancies, According to the Notification issued by NIACL, Application Started from 10 September 2024, Last Date of Online Application was 29 September 2024. NIACL successfully conducted the AO Preliminary Examination on 13 October 2024. Now NIACL will conduct the Mains Examination on 17 November 2024.

OVERVIEW

NEW INDIA ASSURANCE CO. LTD NIACL conducts the Exam to hire Administrative Officers in the Specialist and Generalist cadre. The exam is conducted in three stages Prelims, Mains and interviews. The candidates who qualify all three stages are finally selected by the organisation.

SALARY STRUCTURE

Basic pay of Rs. 50,925/- in the scale of Rs. 50925-2500(14)-85925-2710(4)- 96765 and other admissible allowance as applicable. Gross emoluments will be approximately Rs. 88,000/- p.m. in Metropolitan Centers. Other benefits such as coverage under National Pension System governed by PFRDA, Gratuity, LTS, Medical Benefits, Group Personal Accident Insurance etc. shall be as per rules in force in the Company at the time of appointment. The Officers are also entitled for Company’s / leased accommodation as per norms.



ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Candidates willing to apply for NIACL AO 2024 Examination are required to fulfil certain conditions to be eligible for it. The candidate who does not satisfy the Eligibility criteria like Age, Minimum educational qualification etc, their candidature shall be rejected by the authorities. The criteria for eligibility NIACL AO 2024 are decided by the conduction body itself.

The candidate’s eligibility for NIACL AO 2024 Examination is based on the fulfilment of the following conditions:

  1. Nationality.
  2. Age Limit & Relaxations.
  3. Educational Qualifications.

Nationality

A candidate applying for recruitment in the Company must be either:

(i) A citizen of India, or

(ii) A subject of Nepal, or

(iii) A subject of Bhutan, or

(iv) A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

(v) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

(vi) Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (2), (3), (4) and (5) shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India

Educational Qualifications

For Generalist

A candidate must possess the minimum qualification of a graduate / post graduate in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by Central Government with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examination for General candidates and at least 55% marks for SC / ST / PwBD candidates.

For Specialist

A candidate must possess the minimum qualification as follows. Qualification should be from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by Central Government.

Note: MBA / PGDM Finance candidates must furnish a certificate from university confirming their specialization in finance at the time of interview, failing which they will not be allowed to appear for the interview.

SELECTION PROCESS

The selection process of NICAL AO consists of three stages.

1. Prelims
2. Mains
3. Interview

Candidates have to appear for the prelims exam first. Candidates who score more than the cut-off marks will be shortlisted for the main examination and then Only those candidates will be eligible for interview.

Final Selection

The final selection would be based on consolidated marks of main examination (objective test) & Interview. The final merit list shall be prepared in descending order of the consolidated marks secured by the candidates. Candidates who fall within the number of vacancies in the merit list shall be considered for appointment. The selected candidates may be appointed in more than one batch as per the discretion of the Management. The seniority of the selected candidates will be as per the merit / select list. A Waiting List of candidates not exceeding 50% of the number of vacancies may also be prepared and may be utilized in the event of non acceptance of employment offer by the candidates selected in the final merit list.

Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their being found medically fit as per the requirements of the Company. Such appointment will also be subject to the service and conduct rules of the Company.

HOW TO APPLY

The application process is online. Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria can only fill out the application form. application process involves several steps, such as registration, completing the application form, uploading the required documents, and paying the fee.

Steps to Fill Application Form

Step 1. Candidates to go to the Recruitment Section of official Website.

Step 2. Click on Apply Online.

Step 3. Choose the option stating “Click here for New Registration” and fill in your name and contact details.

Step 4. A registration ID and password will be created and displayed on the screen. An email and SMS will be sent to their registered email address and their mobile number.

Step 5. Check the information if it is filled correctly or not and then click on the “Submit Button.”

Step 6. Upload the scanned copy of the photograph and signature. Size of documents are mentioned below:

EXAM PATTERN

Phase – II: Main Examination

Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 30 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer. Immediately after completion of Objective Test, Descriptive Test will be administered.

Objective Test: The Objective Test of 2.5 hours’ duration will be as follows. There will be separate timing for every section.

Descriptive Test:

The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes’ duration with 30 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing-10marks & Essay-20 marks). The descriptive test will be in English and will be conducted through on-line mode.

Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score for each section of objective test separately for short listing for the Descriptive test evaluation/Interview. Descriptive answer script would be evaluated only in respect of those candidates who qualify the objective test. Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut offs will be decided for Descriptive paper evaluation.

Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum total score (to be decided by the Company according to number of vacancies) in the objective test (main examination) and qualify in the descriptive test for short listing for the Interview. Qualifying marks in the descriptive test shall be as follows: 15/30 (13.5/30 for SC, ST and PwBD).

Note – A candidate shall be required to qualify in the descriptive test, but the marks in the descriptive test will not be counted towards short listing for interview or final selection.

Phase – III: Interview

Candidates who have been shortlisted at the end of Phase-II will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Company. Interview will be conducted at select centres. The weightage (ratio) of online Examination and Interview will be 75:25 respectively. The centre, address of the venue, time & date of Interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the call letter. Candidates are required to download their interview call letters from company’s website. Please note that any request regarding change in date, centre etc. of interview will not be entertained. However, the company reserves the right to change the date/ venue/ time/ centre etc. of interview or hold supplementary process for particular date / session / venue / centre / set of candidates at its discretion, under unforeseen circumstances, if any.

Mode of Examination

The Preliminary Examination for NIACL AO is conducted as on Online computer Based Test. The test contain Objective type questions.

Medium of Examination

The objective tests except test on “English Language” will be bilingual (in English and Hindi Languages).

Marking Scheme

Sections of the test:

  1. English Language
  2. Quantitative Aptitude
  3. Reasoning Ability

Question from the above – mentioned sections are asked in NIACL AO Preliminary Examination where, English language comprises 30 Questions of 1 mark each, Quantitative Aptitude comprises 35 questions of 1 mark each and Reasoning Ability comprises 35 questions of 1 mark each summing up to total 100 marks.

Marking Scheme Highlights:

  1. One mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
  2. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty
  3. If a question is left blank, No answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.
  4. The Company reserves the right to modify the structure of the examination which will be intimated through its website.

ADMIT CARD

Candidates need to follow the steps to download admit card of NIACL AO Exam:

Step 1. Visit the official website of  NIACL.

Step 2. Select the ‘Recruitment’ option.

Step 3. Click on the Admit card link.

Step 4. Login with your registration ID and password.

Step 5. Download the admit card.

Step 6. Take two print out of the admit card for future reference.

RESULT

Steps To Check NIACL Assistant Result:

Step 1: Go to the official website of NIACL. 

Step 2: Click on the link for NIACL Assistant Result.

Step 3: Enter the necessary details, like Roll Number, Date of Birth, etc.

Step 4: Click on “Submit”.

Step 5: Your Result will be displayed on the screen.

EXAM FORMAT

Phase – II: Main Examination

Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 30 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer. Immediately after completion of Objective Test, Descriptive Test will be administered.

Objective Test: The Objective Test of 2.5 hours’ duration will be as follows. There will be separate timing for every section.

Descriptive Test:

The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes’ duration with 30 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing-10marks & Essay-20 marks). The descriptive test will be in English and will be conducted through on-line mode.

Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score for each section of objective test separately for short listing for the Descriptive test evaluation/Interview. Descriptive answer script would be evaluated only in respect of those candidates who qualify the objective test. Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut offs will be decided for Descriptive paper evaluation.

Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum total score (to be decided by the Company according to number of vacancies) in the objective test (main examination) and qualify in the descriptive test for short listing for the Interview. Qualifying marks in the descriptive test shall be as follows: 15/30 (13.5/30 for SC, ST and PwBD).

Note – A candidate shall be required to qualify in the descriptive test, but the marks in the descriptive test will not be counted towards short listing for interview or final selection.

Phase – III: Interview

Candidates who have been shortlisted at the end of Phase-II will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Company. Interview will be conducted at select centres. The weightage (ratio) of online Examination and Interview will be 75:25 respectively. The centre, address of the venue, time & date of Interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the call letter. Candidates are required to download their interview call letters from company’s website. Please note that any request regarding change in date, centre etc. of interview will not be entertained. However, the company reserves the right to change the date/ venue/ time/ centre etc. of interview or hold supplementary process for particular date / session / venue / centre / set of candidates at its discretion, under unforeseen circumstances, if any.

Mode of Examination

The Preliminary Examination for NIACL AO is conducted as on Online computer Based Test. The test contain Objective type questions.

Medium of Examination

The objective tests except test on “English Language” will be bilingual (in English and Hindi Languages).

Marking Scheme

Sections of the test:

Question from the above – mentioned sections are asked in NIACL AO Preliminary Examination where, English language comprises 30 Questions of 1 mark each, Quantitative Aptitude comprises 35 questions of 1 mark each and Reasoning Ability comprises 35 questions of 1 mark each summing up to total 100 marks.

Marking Scheme Highlights:

1. One mark will be awarded for each correct answer.

2. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty

3. If a question is left blank, No answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

4. The Company reserves the right to modify the structure of the examination which will be intimated through its website.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Candidates willing to apply for NIACL AO 2024 Examination are required to fulfil certain conditions to be eligible for it. The candidate who does not satisfy the Eligibility criteria like Age, Minimum educational qualification etc, their candidature shall be rejected by the authorities. The criteria for eligibility NIACL AO 2024 are decided by the conduction body itself.

The candidate’s eligibility for NIACL AO 2024 Examination is based on the fulfilment of the following conditions:

1. Nationality.

2. Age Limit & Relaxations.

3. Educational Qualifications.

Nationality

A candidate applying for recruitment in the Company must be either:

(i) A citizen of India, or

(ii) A subject of Nepal, or

(iii) A subject of Bhutan, or

(iv) A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

(v) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

(vi) Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (2), (3), (4) and (5) shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India

This will be applicable for those Universities also where Class / Grade is decided on basis of Honours marks only. The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored 59.99% will be treated as less than 60%.

5. Where CGPA / OGPA are awarded, the candidate will have to produce a certificate issued by the appropriate authority inter alia stating the norms of the University regarding conversion of grade into percentage and the percentage of marks scored by the candidate in terms of norms
