Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has Released the IBPS PO 2025 Notification with the Aim Of Filling 5208 Vacancies, on 30-06-2025, Last Date for Online Application was 21-07-2025, The IBPS PO Prelims exam is scheduled to be conducted in 17th, 23rd, 24th August 2025 and Mains exam is scheduled to be conducted in 12 October 2025. 

OVERVIEW

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection Probationary Officers or IBPS PO Exam is conducted every year for Recruitment to the post of Probationary Officer/  Management Trainee  in 11 Public Sector Banks in India. IBPS PO is a 3 stage Examination Procedure, which includes Preliminary Examinations, Main Examinations and Interview. NOTIFICATION DETAILS

Applications are invited from eligible and interested candidates who wish to join as Probationary Officers/Management Trainees in any of the participating Public Sector Banks listed in section (A) for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP-PO/MT-XV), aimed at filling vacancies for the financial year 2026-2027. Candidates must register for the Common Recruitment Process. The online examination will be conducted in two stages: the Online Preliminary Exam and the Online Main Exam. Candidates who qualify the Preliminary Exam and are shortlisted will proceed to the Online Main Exam. Those selected in the Main Exam will be invited for a Personality Test, followed by a Common Interview conducted by the participating banks and coordinated by the Nodal Bank.

Based on the actual vacancies for the financial year 2026-27, as reported by the participating banks to IBPS, shortlisted candidates will be provisionally assigned to one of the participating banks, keeping in mind government reservation policies and administrative requirements. The validity of the CRP-PO/MT-XV process will expire one year after the provisional allotment date or when a fresh allotment is made, whichever is earlier, with or without prior notice.

EXAM PATTERN

IBPS has implemented separate sectional timing for each section in the Preliminary Exam. The IBPS PO exam (CRP XIII) for recruiting candidates consists of two stages: Tier 1 (IBPS Preliminary Exam) and Tier 2 (IBPS Mains Exam), both conducted online. Following these, a face-to-face interview is conducted as part of the selection process.

The preliminary examination for IBPS PO shall be conducted as an Online Computer Based Test. It shall contain a total of 100 questions and 100 marks. The time allotted for this examination is 60 minutes.

Mode of Exam

IBPS PO (CRP PO/MT XI) Examination shall be held as a Computer Based Test. Questions shall be based on Multiple Choice Objective Type.

  1. Questions from the Quantitative Aptitude & Reasoning Ability section shall be available in both English & Hindi Language.
  2. Questions from the English Language section shall be available in English only.
  3. Candidates need to choose the language of the question paper they want to attempt in before the commencement of exam.
  4. However, candidates will be allowed to change the language of the particular question also.

Marking Scheme

Question from the above-mentioned sections are asked in IBPS PO Preliminary Examination where, English language comprises 30 Questions of 1 mark each, Quantitative Aptitude comprises 35 questions of 1 mark each and Reasoning Ability comprises 35 questions of 1 mark each summing up to total 100 marks.

Marking Scheme Highlight

  1. One mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
  2. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.
  3. If a question is left blank, No answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

Normalisation of Marks

The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equi-percentile method.

  1. First, the percentile rank of the students for each shift of the exam is calculated using the formula given below –

Percentile Rank of the Candidate = (Total Students in a shift – Rank of Candidate in that shift) / (Total Students in a shift – 1)) x 100

  1. After that, based on the number of available vacancies, a cut-off percentile rank is decided.
  2. Based on this cut-off score, candidates are shortlisted for the next phase of the recruitment process.

Note :- Scores up to two decimal points shall be taken for the purpose of calculations.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The eligibility criteria for the IBPS PO 2025 Exam, covering aspects such as educational qualifications, computer literacy, language proficiency, and age limit, are outlined below.

SELECTION PROCESS

The IBPS PO selection process for 2025 consists of three key stages: the Preliminary Exam, the Main Exam, and the Interview. Provisional Allotment

The provisional allotment of the qualified candidate is released on the official website. The IBPS Banks are allotted based on candidates’ preferences which are made at the time of online application. Step 5: Click on the next button after uploading your Photograph and Signature.

Step 6: You are now required to fill in your Basic Details.

Step 7: After the choices have been made, click on save and next.

Step 8: A preview of your application appears. In case you find any errors, you can edit the information. Once the data is uploaded and saved, you are not allowed to make any changes in the form, whatsoever. Therefore, kindly review all the details while filling in the application form.

The IBPS PO exam is conducted online at various centres across India, and candidates can specify their preferred locations when filling out the online application. However, if there are no available seats at the chosen venues, IBPS may assign an alternative exam centre from the IBPS PO Exam Centre List 2025. IBPS holds exclusive authority to add or remove exam centres, and candidates cannot request a change of centre. The Institute of Banking & Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the IBPS PO Admit Card 2025 for the Prelims Exam on the official website Candidates who have applied for the CRP PO/MTs-XV Exam can now download their call letter by entering their Registration Number and Date of Birth (DOB).

The important steps Related to the IBPS PO Exam Admit Card download are given below:

Step 1: Go to the IBPS official website.

Step 2: Click on the IBPS Official Link to download IBPS PO Admit Card for Prelims, Mains as mentioned on the page.

Step 3: Provide your registration number or roll number in the appropriate box as given in that link.

Step 4: Now, enter your password provided during your IBPS PO online application form submission or your date of birth (DOB) details.

Step 5: Now, click on the ‘Login’ button.

Step 6: Your IBPS PO Exam Admit Card 2024 will be displayed on the screen for download and printout.

RESULT

IBPS will announce the results after the completion of each stage of the examination. The final merit list, prepared state-wise and category-wise, will be in descending order based on the marks obtained by candidates in the Online Main Examination and the Interview. Candidates who rank within the number of available vacancies in the merit list will be considered for appointment, subject to Medical Fitness.

Step 3: In the new window type your Username or Roll number or Registration number and password or Date of Birth.

Step 4: Insert the Captcha Code to check your results.

OVERVIEW

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection Probationary Officers or IBPS PO Exam is conducted every year for Recruitment to the post of Probationary Officer/  Management Trainee  in 11 Public Sector Banks in India. IBPS PO is a 3 stage Examination Procedure, which includes Preliminary Examinations, Main Examinations and Interview. The final selection will be based on the marks achieved in the Main and Interview round. The Probationary Officer recruited under IBPS PO recruitment will deal with customer service, customer complaints, administrative labor inspection, credit process, queries regarding the loan process, supervising clerical work, and more depending on various offices across the country.

EXAM PATTERN

IBPS has implemented separate sectional timing for each section in the Preliminary Exam. The IBPS PO exam (CRP XIII) for recruiting candidates consists of two stages: Tier 1 (IBPS Preliminary Exam) and Tier 2 (IBPS Mains Exam), both conducted online. Following these, a face-to-face interview is conducted as part of the selection process.

The preliminary examination for IBPS PO shall be conducted as an Online Computer Based Test. It shall contain a total of 100 questions and 100 marks. The time allotted for this examination is 60 minutes.

Mode of Exam

IBPS PO (CRP PO/MT XI) Examination shall be held as a Computer Based Test. Questions shall be based on Multiple Choice Objective Type.

  1. Questions from the Quantitative Aptitude & Reasoning Ability section shall be available in both English & Hindi Language.
  2. Questions from the English Language section shall be available in English only.
  3. Candidates need to choose the language of the question paper they want to attempt in before the commencement of exam.
  4. However, candidates will be allowed to change the language of the particular question also.

Marking Scheme

Question from the above-mentioned sections are asked in IBPS PO Preliminary Examination where, English language comprises 30 Questions of 1 mark each, Quantitative Aptitude comprises 35 questions of 1 mark each and Reasoning Ability comprises 35 questions of 1 mark each summing up to total 100 marks.

Marking Scheme Highlight

  1. One mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
  2. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.
  3. If a question is left blank, No answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

Normalisation of Marks

The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equi-percentile method.

  1. First, the percentile rank of the students for each shift of the exam is calculated using the formula given below –

Percentile Rank of the Candidate = (Total Students in a shift – Rank of Candidate in that shift) / (Total Students in a shift – 1)) x 100

  1. After that, based on the number of available vacancies, a cut-off percentile rank is decided.
  2. Based on this cut-off score, candidates are shortlisted for the next phase of the recruitment process.

Note :- Scores up to two decimal points shall be taken for the purpose of calculations.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The eligibility criteria for the IBPS PO 2025 Exam, covering aspects such as educational qualifications, computer literacy, language proficiency, and age limit, are outlined below.

A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

SELECTION PROCESS

The IBPS PO selection process for 2025 consists of three key stages: the Preliminary Exam, the Main Exam, and the Interview. Question from the above-mentioned sections are asked in IBPS PO Preliminary Examination where, English language comprises 30 Questions of 1 mark each, Quantitative Aptitude comprises 35 questions of 1 mark each and Reasoning Ability comprises 35 questions of 1 mark each summing up to total 100 marks.

Marking Scheme Highlights

1. One mark will be awarded for each correct answer.

2. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.

3. If a question is left blank, No answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.


Normalisation of Marks

The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equi-percentile method.

1. First, the percentile rank of the students for each shift of the exam is calculated using the formula given below –

Percentile Rank of the Candidate = (Total Students in a shift – Rank of Candidate in that shift) / (Total Students in a shift – 1)) x 100

2. After that, based on the number of available vacancies, a cut-off percentile rank is decided.

3. Based on this cut-off score, candidates are shortlisted for the next phase of the recruitment process.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The eligibility criteria for the IBPS PO 2025 Exam, covering aspects such as educational qualifications, computer literacy, language proficiency, and age limit, are outlined below.

Nationality

A Citizen of India or

A subject of Nepal or

A subject of Bhutan or

A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

IMPORTANT DATES

Applications are invited from eligible and interested candidates who wish to join as Probationary Officers/Management Trainees in any of the participating Public Sector Banks listed in section (A) for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP-PO/MT-XV), aimed at filling vacancies for the financial year 2026-2027. Candidates must register for the Common Recruitment Process. The online examination will be conducted in two stages: the Online Preliminary Exam and the Online Main Exam. Candidates who qualify the Preliminary Exam and are shortlisted will proceed to the Online Main Exam. Those selected in the Main Exam will be invited for a Personality Test, followed by a Common Interview conducted by the participating banks and coordinated by the Nodal Bank.

Based on the actual vacancies for the financial year 2026-27, as reported by the participating banks to IBPS, shortlisted candidates will be provisionally assigned to one of the participating banks, keeping in mind government reservation policies and administrative requirements. The validity of the CRP-PO/MT-XV process will expire one year after the provisional allotment date or when a fresh allotment is made, whichever is earlier, with or without prior notice.
