Here’s the latest information on total seats available through AIAPGET for postgraduate AYUSH courses (MD, MS & PG Diploma):
According to official AIAPGET exam highlights, approximately 2,274 seats are available for admission into postgraduate (MD, MS and some PG Diploma) AYUSH programs through AIAPGET across government institutions, central institutions, and deemed universities in India for the relevant counselling cycle.
For the AIAPGET, the total number of seats is expected to be around the same range (about 2,200-2,300 seats), with slight yearly variations depending on approved increases by regulatory bodies.
These seats are distributed among the four major systems: Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani, and Siddha, and are allotted through centralised counselling by the Ayush Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) and respective state counselling authorities.
HOW TO APPLY
The application process for AIAPGET will be conducted online through the official NTA AIAPGET portal. Candidates must complete registration, fill the form, upload documents, and pay the fee before the deadline.
1. Online Registration: For the online registration, the candidates have to enter the basic details to create the login ID and password on the official website of NTA. The registration of AIAPGET will require the basic details of the candidate such as Name, e-mail ID, mobile number.
2. Fill the application form: After registration, log in with the same registration number and fill up the application form, with the basic details as the candidate’s name, educational qualifications, communication details, personal details, etc.
3. Upload the Documents: The scanned sign and photo are uploaded after completing the application form of AIAPGET online. The documents should be uploaded as per the specified format given below:

4. Review the Application: After completing the form, the candidates must check and review if any information is being submitted wrong by them. In case of wrong information, the candidates can do the correction and submit the AIAPGET application form.
5. Submit the fees: The fees of AIAPGET will be paid after completing the application form online. To pay the fee online, the candidate will have the option of Net banking / Debit Card / Credit card.
6. Print the Confirmation page: The last step is to take four printouts of the confirmation page, after successful payment of AIAPGET application fees. Candidates must keep this acknowledgment page till the admission process is over.

Admission to the Examination Centres
Candidates must bring the following documents to the Test Centre.
1. A printed copy of Admit Card.
2. One passport-size photograph (same as uploaded on the Online Application Form) for pasting on the specific space in the Attendance Sheet at the Centre during the Examination.
3. The candidates shall report at the Examination Centre two hours before the commencement of the examination so as to complete the frisking and registration formalities well before time. The registration desk will be closed 30 minutes prior to the examination.
4. The candidates are advised to read the instructions on the Admit Card carefully and follow them during the conduct of the examination.
5. Candidates should take their seats immediately after the opening of the Examination Hall. If the candidates do not report in time due to any reason i.e. traffic jam, train/bus delay etc, they are likely to miss some of the general instructions to be announced in the Examination Rooms/Halls.
6. A seat indicating Roll Number will be allotted to each candidate. Candidates should find and sit on their allocated seats only. In case of a candidate changes room/hall or the seat on his/her own other than the one allotted, the candidature shall be canceled and no plea would be accepted for it.

COUNSELLING PROCESS & CUTOFFS
The admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses in Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani, and Siddha through AIAPGET is done only after qualifying the exam and participating in the counselling process. Counselling is conducted mainly by the Ayush Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) along with respective state authorities.

SELECTION PROCESS
The AIAPGET Selection Process is conducted for admission into postgraduate AYUSH courses such as MD, MS, and PG Diploma in Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani, and Siddha. The entire selection is based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance exam followed by counselling.

Candidates must first register and appear in the AIAPGET 2026 Computer-Based Test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam consists of 120 multiple-choice questions.
Declaration of Result
After the exam, NTA releases the AIAPGET result in the form of a scorecard. The result includes marks obtained, percentile score, and rank.

EXAM PATTERN
The AIAPGE entrance exam will be conducted in Online mode (Computer- Based Test). The duration of this entrance exam is 2 hours in the examination. The multiple-choice questions asked will be asked in the examination of the AIAPGET.

MODE OF EXAMINATION
AIAPGET Examination will be held as an Online Computer Based Test. Questions will be Multiple Choice Questions with single correct best response.
MEDIUM OF EXAMINATION
The exam paper for AIAPGET Examination will be in
1- Ayurveda- English and Hindi
2- Unani- English and Urdu
3- Siddha- English and Tamil
4- Homeopathy- English only
MARKING SCHEME
1- Maximum marks are 480 and each correct answer earns 4 marks.
2- Negative marking will be applicable in AIAPGET. For each wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
3- Marks would neither be awarded nor deducted for unattempted questions.
4- Total marks scored by a candidate = (4 x Total number of correct answers) – Total number of incorrect answers.
5- In case a Question is dropped due to some technical error, full marks shall be given to all the candidates irrespective of the fact who have attempted it or not.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) is a single entrance test for admission to the AYUSH PG courses in India. The eligibility criteria for AIAPGET has been set by the CCIM/CCH/ CCRUM/CCRS. Those applying for this examination must check the AIAPGET eligibility criteria before filling the application forms. If the candidate is found to be ineligible during the admission process, their candidature will be forfeited. The candidate’s eligibility for AIAPGET Examination is based on the fulfilment of the following conditions:-

NATIONALITY
Only Indian candidates can apply for the exam.
AGE LIMIT & ATTEMPT LIMIT
According to the AIAPGET eligibility criteria, there is no age limit for the candidates applying for this examination. Also, there is no cap on the number of attempts permitted for admission to PG AYUSH courses.
Reservations
1. In the case of Institutes run by the Central Government, the reservation would be applicable as mentioned below:
i- 15% of the seats Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates.
ii- 7.5% seats for Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates.
iii- 27% seats for Other Backward Classes (OBC) Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) candidates as per the Central List*
iv- 10% of the seats for General Economically Weaker Sections (General – EWS) candidates.
v- Persons with Disability (PwD) with 40% or more disability.
2. Each category will have 5% reservations for the candidates with 40% or more disability as defined in Section 2 (r) and (zc) of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016.
3. In the case of the Institutes run/aided/recognized by State Governments, the reservation policy of the respective State Governments shall be applicable.
NOTE . *Other Backward Classes – Non-Creamy Layer (OBC–NCL) are as per the Central list of Other Backward Classes available on National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC), Government of India website www.ncbc.nic.in Thus, the candidates falling in this list may mention OBC in the Category Column. State list OBC Candidates who are not in OBC-NCL (Central List) must choose General.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
1- Candidates in possession of BAMS/ BUMS/ BSMS/ BHMS/Graded BHMS degree or Provisional BAMS/ BUMS/ BSMS/ BHMS Pass Certificate recognized as per the provisions of the IMCC 1970/HCC 1973 Act and possess permanent or provisional registration certificate of BAMS/ BUMS/ BSMS/ BHMS/Graded BHMS degree qualification issued by the CCIM/CCH/State Board/Universities/Deemed Universities and have completed one year of internship or/are likely to complete the internship as per the CCIM/AYUSH notification, may apply for AIAPGET through Online Application Registration system at website www.ntaaiapget.nic.in.
2- Requests for appearing in AIAPGET from candidates completing internship after the notified date or having qualifications that are not recognized by the competent authority shall be summarily rejected. Candidates are further advised not to canvass for the same.
3- The dates indicated by candidates in regard to 12 months Compulsory Rotating Internship i.e. starting date, completion date, shall be treated as final and candidates will be required to submit the original Compulsory Rotating Internship completion certificate at the time of counselling.
4- Some of the Universities/Institutions with regulations that candidates who are already pursuing any PG Course in their University or in another University are not eligible for admission till they complete the course. The candidates who are already pursuing PG Courses either through All India Quota or State Quota and are applying for a seat under All India Quota/State quota seats may confirm the eligibility conditions of that University in this regard. NTA/MoA/AIIA shall not be responsible if such candidates are refused admission. Such candidates may opt for the subject and the college at their own risk and cost. The eligibility criteria will be as per CCIM/CCH regulations and notifications of Ministry of AYUSH, Govt of India.

Candidates who wish to apply under the PwD category must also fulfil the general AIAPGET eligibility criteria stated above. Apart from these, they must also be in compliance with the following definition, “A person with benchmark disability, as defined in Section 2 (r) of the RPwD Act, means a person with not less than 40 percent of a specified disability where specified disability has not been defined in measurable terms and includes a person with disability where specified disability has been defined in measurable terms, as certified by the certifying authority”.
A specified disability, as defined in Section 2 (zc) of the RPwD Act, means the disabilities as specified in the Schedule of the said Act, which includes:
1- Mental illness
2- Speech and Language Disability
3- Visual Impairment: Blindness and Low Vision
4- Hearing Impairment: Deaf and Hard of Hearing
5- Blood Disorder: Haemophilia, Thalassemia, Sickle Cell Diseases
6- Chronic Neurological Conditions: Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Diseases
7- Multiple Disabilities: more than one of the specified disabilities including Deaf-Blindness
8- Locomotor Disabilities: Leprosy, Cerebral Palsy, Dwarfism, Muscular Dystrophy, Acid Attack Victims
9- Intellectual Disability: Specific Learning Disability (Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, Dyspraxia and Developmental Aphasia), Autism Spectrum Disorder.
IMPORTANT DATES
The AIAPGET 2025 exam was held on July 4, 2025, with results declared on July 30, 2025, by the NTA. The Ayush Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) is currently conducting the 2025 counselling, with new registration for special rounds in Unani/Siddha and Deemed Universities occurring from January 14–18, 2026.
