EXAM PATTERN
According to the official exam pattern for the UPSSSC PET, candidates will be evaluated based on the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET), which is conducted for a total of 100 marks. The difficulty level of the questions will align with the NCERT curriculum for Secondary and Senior Secondary levels, covering topics up to Class 10th and 12th. It is important for candidates to thoroughly understand the exam pattern to ensure they are well-prepared for the test.
The exam pattern as per the recent notice released for the PET is as follows:
1. The exam will consist of objective type multiple choice questions
2. A total of 100 such questions will be asked.
3. The duration of the exam shall be 2 hours.
4. Wrong answers will result in a negative marking of 1/4th mark.
5. The difficulty of questions for topics from sr. no. 1 to 9 shall be as per NCERT Secondary/Senior Secondary level.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Candidates willing to apply for UPSSSC PET Examination are required to fulfill certain conditions to be eligible for it. The candidate who does not satisfy the Eligibility criteria like Age, Minimum educational qualification, etc., their candidature shall be rejected by the authorities.

Educational Qualifications
The candidates who have passed High school/ class 10th or any other equivalent exam from any board, CBSE/ICSE, states and through regular/ distance mode or from NIOS before the last date of submission of application form are eligible for the UPSSSC PET exam. There is no maximum educational limit for this exam.
HOW TO APPLY
The application process is online Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria can only fill out the application form. The application process involves several steps, such as registration, completing the application form, uploading the required documents, and paying the fee.
Application Form Filling Documents Required
1. Active mobile number and email ID.
2. Scanned passport-sized photograph.
3. Scanned copy of candidate’s signature.
4. Details of credit/debit card for fee payment.
Exam Online Application Form
Step 1. Go to the official website of UPSSSC.
Step 2. Click on the UPSSSC PET link and then click on Apply Online.
Step 3. Choose the option stating “Click here for New Registration” Is Previously Applied – answer Yes and proceed
Step 4. A registration ID and password will be created and displayed on the screen. An email and SMS will be sent to their registered email address and their mobile number.
Step 5. Check the information if it is filled correctly or not and then click on the “Submit Button”
Step 6. Upload the scanned copy of the photograph and signature, Left and right-hand index finger impression. The size of the documents is mentioned below:

Step 7. Now proceed for final payment. The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/ Visa/Master Card/ Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets. On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt will be generated. And click on the submit button.
Step 8. Take out the printout for future purpose.

SELECTION PROCESS
Only those candidates who score well in UPSSSC PET 2025 will be called for the upcoming Group ‘B & C’ main examinations for the particular posts. Candidates will go through the following selection process.

ADMIT CARD
The UP PET 2025 admit card will be available for download 3-4 weeks prior to the exam date. Candidates can download their admit card from the official website using their login credentials. The admit card will include important details such as the exam date, shift information, exam centre address, and the candidate’s personal details. It is mandatory to bring the UPSSSC PET Admit Card on the exam day; failure to do so will result in being denied entry to the exam hall.

RESULT
After taking UPSSSC PET Exam 2025 the merit list of shortlisted candidates will be prepared for appearing in the Group B & C main Exams for particular posts and vacancies released from time to time. The merit list will be prepared for category wise i.e. UR, OBC, SC/ST.
The UPSSSC PET exam will be qualifying in nature. The candidates need to clear the cutoff to qualify for the mains examination. The cutoff shall be different for different posts. The merit list of the candidates will be released on the UPSSSC website. The candidates can download the merit list to check their scores and then wait for the cutoff.
