Latest Update for Bihar Teacher’s Eligibility Test (BTET) 2022 Exam
The Bihar Government has officially announced that the Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test (BTET) 2022 has been cancelled. The state will not conduct the state-level teacher eligibility examination anymore. Instead, teacher recruitment in Bihar will now be carried out based on the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) score.

Bihar Teacher’s Eligibility Test (BTET) 2022
The Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test, commonly known as Bihar TET or BTET, is a state-mandated examination for candidates aspiring to build a teaching career in Bihar. The examination earlier consisted of two papers – Paper I for teachers of Classes 1 to 5 and Paper II for teachers of Classes 6 to 8.
BTET is a state-level teaching entrance examination conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) for the recruitment of primary and upper primary teachers in government schools of Bihar. Candidates who have completed B.Ed. and wish to work as teachers in government or private schools in Bihar were required to qualify this exam.
Bihar TET 2022 Exam Salient Features
The Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test is a state-level examination conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB). The exam is usually held once a year or as per the decision of the board. The mode of examination is offline (pen and paper based).
Paper I duration is 2 hours 30 minutes and Paper II duration is also 2 hours 30 minutes. Each paper carries a total of 150 marks. The official website for Bihar TET is biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in.
Bihar TET 2022 Exam Dates
The Bihar Government has confirmed that the Bihar TET 2022 examination has been cancelled. The last Bihar TET examination was conducted in the year 2021.
Important dates from the previous Bihar TET cycle (2021) are as follows:
The application form started on 9 September 2021 and closed on 18 September 2021. The admit card was released on 2 November 2021. The examination was conducted on 17 November 2021 and the result was declared on 5 December 2021.
Bihar TET Exam Application Process
The Bihar TET application process was conducted in online mode. Candidates who met the eligibility criteria were required to complete the application form carefully. The application process involved registration, filling the form, uploading documents, paying the application fee, and final submission. Incorrect or incomplete details could lead to rejection of the application.
Steps to Fill Bihar TET Online Application Form
First, candidates had to visit the official Bihar TET website and click on “Register New Candidate”. After completing the registration, login credentials were generated.
Next, candidates logged in using the registered credentials and filled in personal, academic, and communication details. After saving the information, candidates proceeded to the next step.
Upload Photograph, Signature and Certificates
Candidates were required to upload scanned copies of their photograph and signature as per the prescribed specifications.
The photograph size had to be between 100 KB to 150 KB in JPEG format (.jpg).
The signature size had to be between 50 KB to 100 KB in JPEG format (.jpg).
Filling Educational Details and Exam Preferences
In this step, candidates entered educational qualification details, selected Bihar TET exam centres, participating banks, and preferred language.
Application Fee Payment
The application fee could be paid using debit card, credit card, internet banking, IMPS, cash cards, or mobile wallets.
For General/OBC/BC candidates, the fee was INR 500 for Paper I, INR 500 for Paper II, and INR 800 for both papers.
For SC/ST candidates, the fee was INR 300 for Paper I, INR 300 for Paper II, and INR 500 for both papers.
Print Confirmation Page
After successful fee payment, an e-receipt was generated. Candidates were advised to print and save the confirmation page and the completed application form for future reference.
Bihar TET Exam Admit Card
The Bihar TET admit card was released on the official website. It was mandatory to carry the admit card along with a valid photo ID to the examination centre. Without the admit card, candidates were not allowed to enter the exam hall.
The admit card contained details such as candidate’s name, roll number, application ID, photograph, signature, exam date, exam centre, and important instructions.
Steps to download the admit card included visiting the official website, clicking on the “Download BTET Admit Card” link, logging in using registration number and date of birth, downloading the admit card, and taking a printout.
Bihar TET 2022 Exam Centres
The Bihar TET examination was conducted across multiple districts and divisions in Bihar, including Purnea, Munger, Bhagalpur, Saharsa, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Patna, Magadh, Chhapra, and other associated districts such as Katihar, Kishanganj, Araria, Begusarai, Nalanda, Gaya, Siwan, and more.
Bihar TET Exam Result
The Bihar TET result was declared on the official website by the conducting authority. Candidates could check their result by entering their roll number and date of birth.
To check the result, candidates needed to visit the official website, click on the result link, enter the required credentials, and download the result PDF. Qualified candidates’ names appeared in the merit list PDF along with roll numbers.

BIHAR TEACHER’S ELIGIBILITY TEST (BTET)
The Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test is more commonly known as Bihar TET. This is a state-mandated exam for persons interested in pursuing a teaching career. The Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test consists of two papers: Paper I and Paper II. Paper IÂ for teachers in grades 1 through 5, while Paper II was for teachers in grades 6 to 8. The Teacher Eligibility Test is administered by the state government in each Indian state.
BIHAR TET EXAM PATTERNÂ
Paper- I of BTET Examination consists of five sections containing 30 questions and 30 Marks each summing up to 150 questions and 150 marks respectively. The Total duration for BTET Paper- I Examination is 150 minutes.

BTET Paper -I Examination will be held as an Objective Type Offline Pen & Paper Based Test.

BIHAR TEACHER’S ELIGIBILITY TEST (BTET)
Candidates willing to apply for BTET Paper- I Examination are required to fulfil certain conditions to be eligible for it. The candidate who does not satisfy the Eligibility criteria like Age, Minimum educational qualification etc., their candidature shall be rejected by the authorities. The criteria for eligibility BTET Paper- I are decided by the conduction body itself.
BIHAR TET EXAM NATIONALITY
Candidates should be the citizens of India and should also hold the domicile of Bihar in order to be eligible for BTET Examination.

The Minimum age limit is 21 years and maximum age is limit is 35 Years.

BIHAR TET EXAMÂ EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
The candidates must possess the following Educational Qualifications in order to be eligible for BTET Paper-I.
1. Candidates must have passed class 10 with an aggregate of 45% or equivalent.
2. Candidates who have qualified a bachelor’s degree (B.Sc/ B.A) with an aggregate of 50% marks and B.ED qualified candidates are eligible for the Teachers Eligibility Test.
3. Candidates who are appearing in the Diploma in Education or Diploma in Special Elementary or Bachelor of Elementary Education are eligible for the TET exam.
Note
1. The candidates with Diploma/degree certificates in teacher education must be recognized by the Central or any State Government or recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) will only be valid.
2. Candidates having Diploma in Education (Special Education) and B. Ed. (Special education) will be valid only if the courses are recognized by the Indian Rehabilitation Council (RCI)
3. Candidates with Degree equivalent to technical education (polytechnics, Greek education, etc.) and Oriental language special (Maulvi, Sub-Shastri) is not valid for general teacher posting.
BIHAR TET EXAM VALIDITY OF CERTIFICATE & NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS
1. The validity of the Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test (BTET) certificate has been extended for a lifetime.
2. There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a BTET Certificate. A person who has qualified BTET may also appear again for improving his/her score.
BIHAR TET EXAMÂ ELIGIBILITY HIGHLIGHTS

2. The Validity Period of BTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be of lifetime.
