Job Roles and Responsibilities

Selected General Duty Constables are tasked with maintaining law and order, providing security, and ensuring safety across various jurisdictions. They operate under the supervision of the SHO and may oversee operations in the absence of Sub-Inspectors or Assistant Sub-Inspectors.

• BSF: Guards the Indo-Pakistan and Indo-Bangladesh borders, prevents trans-border crimes, and gathers intelligence.

• CISF: Secures vital infrastructure, Public Sector Units (PSUs), airports, Delhi Metro, and industrial units.

• CRPF: Manages internal security, participates in peacekeeping missions, and assists in counter-insurgency and Naxal operations.

• SSB: Protects Indo-Nepal and Indo-Bhutan borders and monitors cross-border illegal activities.

• ITBP: Guards the India-China border (Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh), prevents smuggling, and secures VIPs.

Eligibility Criteria

• Elementary Mathematics: Number systems, decimals, fractions, percentages, ratio & proportion, averages, interest, profit & loss, mensuration, time & distance, and time & work.

• English/Hindi: Testing of basic comprehension, grammar, and language skills.
