The IBPS Clerk Notification 2025 for CRP CSA XV was released on 31st July 2025 at www.ibps.in. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) organizes the IBPS Clerk Recruitment Exam annually to select candidates for clerical roles in 11 public sector banks across India. The recruitment for IBPS Clerk 2025 will be carried out through the Common Recruitment Process (CRP).This year, the IBPS Clerk Notification 2025 has been announced for 10277 vacancies of Clerk (CSA). The application process for IBPS Clerk 2025 is start from 1 August 2025. The Prelims exam is scheduled to be conducted on 4th, 5th and 11th October, 2025 and the mains exam scheduled to be conducted on 29 November 2025.


OVERVIEW

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) organizes the IBPS Clerk Recruitment Exam annually to select candidates for clerical roles in 11 public sector banks across India. The selection process will consist of two phases: Online Preliminary Examination followed by the Online Main Examination. Only those candidates who qualify in the Preliminary Examination and are shortlisted will be eligible to appear for the Main Examination. The final selection will depend on the actual vacancies to be filled during the financial year 2026-27, based on the business requirements of the Participating Banks and as reported to IBPS. Shortlisted candidates will be provisionally allocated to one of the Participating Banks based on merit-cum-preference, while adhering to the Government’s reservation policy and administrative requirements.

SALIENT FEATURES

The recruitment for IBPS Clerk 2025 will be carried out through the Common Recruitment Process (CRP). IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern 2025 comprises two stages: Prelims and Mains, both of which are conducted online. The Prelims exam consists of three sections—English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability—with a total of 100 questions for 100 marks, to be completed in 60 minutes. The Mains exam consists of four sections—General/Financial Awareness, General English, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, and Quantitative Aptitude—with a total of 190 questions for 200 marks, to be completed in 160 minutes. The Mains exam also includes negative marking for incorrect answers.

NOTIFICATION DETAILS

The IBPS Clerk 2025 Notification PDF for CRP CSA-XV has been released on the official website for the recruitment of 10277 Customer Service Associates (CSA) vacancies in different Public Sector Undertakings banks. This system of Common Recruitment Process- Online Preliminary & Online Main Examination and provisional allotment for recruitment of Customer Service Associates (Clerical cadre posts) in Participating Banks has the approval of the appropriate authorities. The final selection will depend on the actual vacancies to be filled during the financial year 2026-27, based on the business requirements of the Participating Banks and as reported to IBPS. SALARY STRUCTURE

The pay scale for the IBPS Clerk position is Rs. 24050-1340/3-28070-1650/3-33020-2000/4-41020-2340/7-57400-4400/1-61800-2680/1-64480. The starting basic pay is Rs. 24050, and the remaining components of the salary include Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Medical Allowance, and Transport Allowance. The cash in hand for newly appointed IBPS Clerks is approximately Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 42,000.

Important Points

  1. Prelims is qualifying only (not counted for merit).
  2. Sectional timing is applicable.
  3. Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
  4. Only Main Exam marks are considered for the Final Merit List.
  5. Both Prelims and Mains are computer-based tests (CBT).
  6. Final allotment depends on merit + state/UT vacancies.

Scores obtained in the Online Examination

  1. The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equi-percentile method. 
  2. Scores up to two decimal points shall be taken for the purpose of calculations

Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)

Candidates are now required to show proficiency in the local language of the state/UT they are applying for.

  1. Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the local language is necessary.
  2. Candidates who studied the local language in Class 10 or higher are exempt from this requirement.
  3. Others must clear a Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT) after the Mains exam.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Candidates must meet the IBPS Clerk Eligibility requirements to be eligible for the exam. Below are the IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria as outlined in the official notification. Candidates must ensure they fulfill these requirements to apply for the exam.


Nationality 

A candidate must be either –

(i) a Citizen of India or

(ii) a subject of Nepal or

(iii) a subject of Bhutan or

(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Educational Qualifications (As on 21.08.2025)

  1. A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate must possess valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he / she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.
  2. The candidates applying for vacancies of a particular State/UT, should be proficient in (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) the specified / opted local language of that State/UT.
  3. May kindly refer to clause ‘H’ (Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)) for further details. Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.
  4. Ex-Servicemen who do not possess the above civil examination qualifications should be matriculate Ex-Servicemen who have obtained the Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force after having completed not less than 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union as on 21.08.2025. Such certificates should be dated on or before 21.08.2025.

Note – All the educational qualifications mentioned should be from a University/ Institution/ Board recognised by Govt. Of India/ approved by Govt. Regulatory Bodies and the final result should have been declared on or before 21.08.2025.

Proficiency in Local Language

  1. Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak the official language of the State/UT for which they apply.

SELECTION PROCESS

The IBPS Clerk 2025 selection process consists of an online Preliminary exam followed by an online Mains exam, with the final selection determined by the performance in the Mains exam. There is no interview round. The final stage also includes a Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT) to evaluate the candidate’s proficiency in the language of the state they are applying for.

An online objective test covering sections on EnglishNumerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability, which is qualifying in nature.

  1. Mains Exam

An online exam that includes sections on General/Financial AwarenessGeneral EnglishReasoning Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude. The marks obtained in this stage are considered for final selection.

  1. Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the official language of the state or Union Territory they are applying for.

  1. Document Verification

Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification, where their educational, identity, and category certificates will be checked.

HOW TO APPLY

The online registration for the IBPS Clerk 2025 exam, for clerical cadre vacancies, commenced after the official notification was released. The IBPS Clerk 2025 Online Application link will remain active on www.ibps.in until 28th August 2025. Candidates are encouraged to have all required documents ready before initiating the online application process.

Steps to Fill the IBPS Clerk Application Form

Candidates should follow the steps outlined below to complete the IBPS Clerk registration form.

Step 1: IBPS Clerk Online Registration

Go to the official website of IBPS.

On the homepage, click on the ‘IBPS Clerk apply online’ option.

To begin the registration process, click on the ‘New Registration’ link.

Fill in the required details such as the post name, your full name, mobile number, email ID, and security code.

Once completed, a registration number and password will be generated.

The registration number and password will be sent to your registered email ID and mobile number.


Step 2: Upload Photograph & Signature

In the next step, candidates are required to upload scanned images of photograph and signature. The specifications for uploading the photograph and signature are given below.

Step 3: Entering Details

In this step, candidates need to provide information regarding their educational qualifications, choose their IBPS Clerk exam centers, select preferred participating banks, and indicate the languages they are proficient in, among other details.


Step 4: Previewing the IBPS Clerk Application Form

Before submitting the application, candidates must review their IBPS Clerk application form. If they notice any discrepancies in the provided details, they should correct them before final submission. Once the application is submitted, no further changes can be made. Candidates must also agree to the terms and conditions by checking the necessary boxes before completing the application process.

Candidates must upload their left thumb impression and handwritten declaration as per the specifications given below.

Here are some key points related to the IBPS Clerk application form:

Only online applications are accepted for the IBPS Clerk Recruitment Exam.

In case the online transaction is incomplete, candidates should log in again and complete the payment.

The IBPS Clerk application form will be considered invalid if it is not accompanied by a passport-sized photograph, signature, and fee payment.

Candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria (Graduation) before filling out the application form.

Providing an Aadhaar number is optional.

Candidates should not submit multiple applications for the IBPS Clerk exam.

The IBPS Clerk Admit Card is released on the official website 7 days prior to the exam date. OVERVIEW

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) organizes the IBPS Clerk Recruitment Exam annually to select candidates for clerical roles in 11 public sector banks across India. The selection process will consist of two phases: Online Preliminary Examination followed by the Online Main Examination. Only those candidates who qualify in the Preliminary Examination and are shortlisted will be eligible to appear for the Main Examination. The final selection will depend on the actual vacancies to be filled during the financial year 2026-27, based on the business requirements of the Participating Banks and as reported to IBPS. Important Points

  1. Prelims is qualifying only (not counted for merit).
  2. Sectional timing is applicable.
  3. Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
  4. Only Main Exam marks are considered for the Final Merit List.
  5. Both Prelims and Mains are computer-based tests (CBT).
  6. Final allotment depends on merit + state/UT vacancies.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Candidates must meet the IBPS Clerk Eligibility requirements to be eligible for the exam. Below are the IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria as outlined in the official notification. Candidates must ensure they fulfill these requirements to apply for the exam.


Nationality 

A candidate must be either –

(i) a Citizen of India or

(ii) a subject of Nepal or

(iii) a subject of Bhutan or

(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Educational Qualifications (As on 21.08.2025)

  1. A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate must possess valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he / she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.
  2. The candidates applying for vacancies of a particular State/UT, should be proficient in (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) the specified / opted local language of that State/UT.
  3. May kindly refer to clause ‘H’ (Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)) for further details. Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.
  4. Ex-Servicemen who do not possess the above civil examination qualifications should be matriculate Ex-Servicemen who have obtained the Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force after having completed not less than 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union as on 21.08.2025. Such certificates should be dated on or before 21.08.2025.

Note – All the educational qualifications mentioned should be from a University/ Institution/ Board recognised by Govt. Of India/ approved by Govt. Regulatory Bodies and the final result should have been declared on or before 21.08.2025.

Important Points

  1. Prelims is qualifying only (not counted for merit).
  2. Sectional timing is applicable.
  3. Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
  4. Only Main Exam marks are considered for the Final Merit List.
  5. Both Prelims and Mains are computer-based tests (CBT).
  6. Final allotment depends on merit + state/UT vacancies.

Scores obtained in the Online Examination

  1. The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equi-percentile method. 
  2. Scores up to two decimal points shall be taken for the purpose of calculations

Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)

Candidates are now required to show proficiency in the local language of the state/UT they are applying for.

  1. Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the local language is necessary.
  2. Candidates who studied the local language in Class 10 or higher are exempt from this requirement.
  3. Others must clear a Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT) after the Mains exam.

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) organizes the IBPS Clerk Recruitment Exam annually to select candidates for clerical roles in 11 public sector banks across India. The recruitment for IBPS Clerk 2025 will be carried out through the Common Recruitment Process (CRP).This year, the IBPS Clerk Notification 2025 has been announced for 10277 vacancies of Clerk (CSA). The application process for IBPS Clerk 2025 is start from 1 August 2025. The Prelims exam is scheduled to be conducted on 4th, 5th and 11th October, 2025 and the mains exam scheduled to be conducted on 29 November 2025.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Candidates must meet the IBPS Clerk Eligibility requirements to be eligible for the exam. Below are the IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria as outlined in the official notification. Candidates must ensure they fulfill these requirements to apply for the exam.


Nationality 

A candidate must be either –

(i) a Citizen of India or

(ii) a subject of Nepal or

(iii) a subject of Bhutan or

(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Educational Qualifications (As on 21.08.2025)

  1. A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate must possess valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he / she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.
  2. The candidates applying for vacancies of a particular State/UT, should be proficient in (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) the specified / opted local language of that State/UT.
  3. May kindly refer to clause ‘H’ (Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)) for further details. Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.
  4. Ex-Servicemen who do not possess the above civil examination qualifications should be matriculate Ex-Servicemen who have obtained the Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force after having completed not less than 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union as on 21.08.2025. Such certificates should be dated on or before 21.08.2025.

Note – All the educational qualifications mentioned should be from a University/ Institution/ Board recognised by Govt. Of India/ approved by Govt. Regulatory Bodies and the final result should have been declared on or before 21.08.2025.

Proficiency in Local Language

  1. Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak the official language of the State/UT for which they apply.

IMPORTANT DATES

The IBPS Clerk 2025 Notification PDF for CRP CSA-XV has been released on the official website for the recruitment of 10277 Customer Service Associates (CSA) vacancies in different Public Sector Undertakings banks. This system of Common Recruitment Process- Online Preliminary & Online Main Examination and provisional allotment for recruitment of Customer Service Associates (Clerical cadre posts) in Participating Banks has the approval of the appropriate authorities. The final selection will depend on the actual vacancies to be filled during the financial year 2026-27, based on the business requirements of the Participating Banks and as reported to IBPS.
