The GATE 2026 will be conducted by IIT Guwahati for admission into M. Tech, PhD, and other postgraduate programs, along with the PSU recruitment. The Registration for GATE 2026 with late fees has been extended till 13th October 2025.
The GATE 2026 will be held in CBT Mode on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026, in various test cities in India. The GATE Exam will be held in different sessions over a duration of 3 hours.
- As per the latest updates, a new sectional paper of Energy Science under the Engineering sciences (XE) has been introduced, making the total subject count 30.
- In the GATE Syllabus, core UG Subjects will be covered, including Engineering Mathematics and General Aptitude.
- The Main Subject topic will cover 70 to 72% of the exam, whereas the mathematics and aptitude sections will cover 28 to 30% weightage.
The GATE 2026 Admit cards will be released in January 2026, and the GATE Results will be released on March 19, 2026. The GATE Scores will be valid for the next 3 years for admission in IIT/NIT and IIIT.
